Dear reader,

Thailand's general election may be over, but the political roller-coaster ride is just starting. In the aftermath, there's been questions about cheating, rival claims to victory and the re-emergence of a perennial king maker.

Expect more drama as junta chief Prayuth Chan-ocha's allies and their pro-democrat rivals engage in horse trading in a race to be the first to forge a majority.

And as Thailand mulls the path back to civilian rule, India is gearing up for a hearts and minds battle of its own ahead of elections in April.

Follow our continuing special coverage of Asia's bumper election season to find out more about the latest developments.
